The cup types a bar or café orders
- 9 oz party cups — clear and tinted colours, the volume line for events, bars and party wholesalers.
- Coffee cups — 9 oz with gold or silver trim, in white, cream and clear, for cafés and hospitality.
- Cold cups and lidded containers — for iced drinks and takeaway.
- Serving pieces that go with them — cutlery, plates and bowls from the same ranges, so a service is bought as one order.
Lids: match the rim, not the ounce figure
This is the failure that costs bars the most. Two cups both sold as 9 oz can have different rim diameters, so a lid that seals one leaks on the other. The fix is to specify the cup model and the rim diameter together, and to test the pair before committing to a container: rim diameters, tolerances and the five-minute leak test are in cups and lids: rim diameters and fitment.
Resin choice: PP, PS or PET
Heat tolerance is what usually decides it. PP takes hot drinks, PS and PET serve cold service well and are clearer, and the three differ on cost and breakage — compared in PP vs PS vs PET. Resin documentation is available against the material spec: food-contact materials.
Packing for a bar, not a shelf
Bars want cups sleeved or nested and lids in a separate carton so a damaged lid run does not take the cups with it. Retail and party wholesalers usually want single-piece or counted packs with a barcode. Both are production options — give us the pack count and carton mark and the quotation carries the carton dimensions and gross weight for your forwarder.
Printing and colour
Clear, tinted, black, gold-rim and printed cups are all production items. Printed work follows the same artwork approval flow as printed tablecloths, including plate and artwork costs — see plate fees and artwork approval. Private-label packing and bar-branded cartons are done to your artwork: OEM and ODM.
Ordering and lead time
MOQ is per item; stock colours start lower than custom prints. Samples can be sent before mass production. Lead time is quoted per line from deposit and confirmed artwork, and event or seasonal programmes are planned backwards from the date you need the goods — tell us that date at enquiry stage.
