A quotation is only useful if you can check it line by line. This page explains what ours contains, how MOQ, sampling, lead time, terms and packing work, and what we need from you to price an item properly.
What a Runxiang quotation contains
Every quotation is issued line by line so you can check the detail before you commit: item and specification, size and film thickness, pack count, quantity, unit price and the currency, MOQ for that item, production lead time, the Incoterm and port, packing details, and the payment schedule.
MOQ
MOQ is set per item, not per order. Stock colours and standard sizes can be ordered in smaller runs than custom prints, where the print set-up has to be amortised over the run. Mixed containers are welcome: the MOQ still applies per item, so work out your assortment first and we will confirm which lines are workable.
Sampling
Samples can be developed before mass production. For custom print work, an approval sample is the document that protects both sides: once you approve it, that sample defines the colour, the size and the print registration for the whole run. Stock items can also be sent so you can check the film and the fold before committing.
Lead time
Lead time is quoted per line and counts from receipt of the deposit once artwork or the approval sample is confirmed. Seasonal programmes are planned backwards from the date your goods need to be in store, so the cut-off for artwork and approval is stated on the quotation. If you are working to a fixed retail date, say so at enquiry stage and we will tell you honestly whether the date is achievable.
Incoterms and shipping
Tell us the term you work on – FOB, CIF or delivered – and the destination, and the quotation is issued on that basis. The quotation names the port and states what is included in the price, which is what your forwarder needs to quote you the rest of the route.
Payment
Payment terms are agreed per order and stated on the proforma invoice, so the schedule is on the same document as the specification. Tell us at enquiry stage which terms your business normally works on and we will confirm what we can accept.
Packing and loading
Packing is specified on the quotation: pack count per carton, carton dimensions, gross weight and how the pallets or cartons are loaded. Ask for a loading plan if you want to see how a mixed order fits a 20ft or a 40HQ container before you finalise quantities.
Quality and documents
We confirm the specification, packing and approval sample in writing before production starts, which is what a dispute is normally about. For documentation, tell us the market and the document your customer or customs broker needs, and we will send what we hold for that item.
Where to start
Send the item list, sizes, quantities, destination port and the date you need the goods. You will receive a line-by-line quotation; if anything on it is unclear, ask before you approve it – the quotation stage is the cheapest place to fix a misunderstanding.
Send your item list, sizes, quantities and destination port through the contact form, or read the wholesale FAQ if you have a product question first.
